Precision Electrical & Air executed a detailed installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically situated within the ceiling space, with the condenser securely mounted on the front balcony wall using rubber feet to enhance stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully concealed within ductwork as they exited from the ceiling space.

To ensure efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray leading to the external gutter. The installation involved meticulous placement of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, assuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also positioned in the upstairs hallway to optimise the system’s airflow.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, allowing for user-friendly temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with exacting standards. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were installed to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser also mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was set up from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, including an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, enabling effective drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent thorough commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
